The Diamond Creek Football Development Program aims to improve the skills of all players. DCWFC has four football development programs designed to suit the diversity of the players in the club :
This program focuses on improving the skills of the senior players with a dedicated Football Development Coach
This program has dedicated skills coaches to work with the Head Coach in every grade. This sees the skills of every player improving across the season.
Senior Mentoring Program
This program will match a talented junior to a Senior Player, often one who has played State or AFL football, to fast track them into senior ranks and the AFL.
Community Liaison Program
This program involves Diamond Creek coaching squads working with local Junior only clubs and RMIT University. These community coaching sessions are aimed to ensure Diamond Creek supports the development of female football in northern Melbourne.
These programs reflect the culture of Diamond Creek where all players are supported and encouraged to be their best in a respectful environment. Diamond Creek also strongly believes that it has a responsibility to promote and encourage females to participate in teams sports throughout the community, even though they may not play at Diamond Creek.
